GETTING A MORTGAGE...

Text Box: can be stressful. This checklist is a tool to help facilitate the process and be step ahead when considering a home purchase.  Do check with a lender to see if any additional steps are required.

Step 1:
	Work with your lender and get either 
	a) pre-qualified b) pre-approved
Step 2:
	Select a home
Step 3:
	Get an offer on a Sales Contract
Step 4:
	Select the type of mortgage you want
Step 5:
	Select a lender
Step 6:		
	Apply for a mortgage
Complete a loan application
	Participate in a loan interview
	Within 3 days of loan application, receive a good faith estimate
	Receive Truth in Lending Disclosure (Provides the applicant an estimated yearly cost for the loan)
	Loan is submitted for final review
Step 7:
	Closing	
Closing agent reviews whether conditions of loan is met
Make final inspection (walk-through) of home
Set closing date, time & venue
Sign documents (Deed, Hud-1 Statement, etc.)
Record documents
